Dominion Haul Co is an independent hauling company based at 14600 Flint Lee Rd in Chantilly. One crew, load-size pricing on this site, and nobody between you and the people who show up.
Why we built it this way
Junk removal around Northern Virginia is dominated by national franchises. The crews are usually fine. The model is not. You call a centre that has never driven the Fairfax County Parkway, someone reads you a range, a truck shows up, and the price moves.
We put the load-size prices on this website — which almost nobody else in NoVA will do — and we answer the phone locally. When you call, you are talking to someone who will actually be carrying your sofa.
What “local” means when you live here
We know a Burke Centre unit might have zero curb access, so we send the right crew size. We know Reston cluster parking courts will not take a box truck. We know Old Town Manassas has alley access on some blocks, and that a Rosslyn high-rise needs its freight elevator booked a couple days out. A Sterling Park reno from the ’60s sometimes needs an asbestos check before anyone swings a hammer.
None of that is in a franchise ops manual written for a hundred markets. It is why we can say: call before noon and we can usually hit a Reston pickup by 2pm — we know how the Parkway actually moves.
What we will not do
We will not quote one number on the phone and change it in your driveway. We will not add a fuel surcharge because you live in Gainesville. We will not charge extra for stairs or a basement — carrying it out is the job.
We will also tell you when we are the wrong answer. Whole-house gut? Rent a dumpster; it is cheaper per yard and we will say so. Standing tree? You need an arborist. Gas range still hooked up? Get a licensed fitter first. Sending you elsewhere costs us one job. It is still the right call.
Where we work
Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William and Arlington — about a 30-mile radius from Chantilly. That reaches Purcellville west, Woodbridge south, the Potomac north, and the District line east. Same published price everywhere inside it. The drive is our routing problem, not a line on your invoice.

Out loud, after we have looked at the actual pile. If it is smaller than the photo suggested, the number goes down.

Certificates for Arlington high-rises and Tysons suites on request. We know which buildings need freight elevators booked ahead.

Sorted for donation and recycle when we can
Usable furniture to local partners, metal to scrap, electronics through e-waste. It does not cost you extra — it is just how we haul.

Small company on purpose. The people who show up know floor protection, door-frame padding, furniture disassembly, and when a job needs a licensed trade instead of us.
On estate and cleanout jobs we run one hard rule: if it looks personal, it does not go in the truck. Photos, papers, jewellery, anything handwritten — we set it aside for you every time.

Called at 9:30 in the morning about a garage that had not fit a car since we moved in. They were here by two. Quoted $445 in the driveway, and that was exactly what I paid — no add-on for the concrete pavers I forgot to mention, they just told me upfront that those get weighed separately and it came to nothing.
Our HOA is difficult about dumpsters so this was the only real option, and honestly it was easier anyway.

Third floor walk-up in Clarendon, a sectional that absolutely did not want to leave. They took the whole thing apart in the living room, padded the door frames, and there is not a mark anywhere. Building needed a certificate of insurance and they had it to my property manager the same day I asked.

Storm took down half an oak across our cluster’s walkway and the county was a week out. These guys came the next morning, cleared the path first because people could not get to their cars, then did the rest of the pile. Charged the quoted price even though it took longer than they expected.

Old chest freezer in the basement that three other companies would not take because of the refrigerant. These folks explained exactly why it has to go to a recovery facility, took it out down a very narrow staircase, and did not charge me extra for the stairs like the last quote I got.

I run a small remodelling outfit and I have used them on four kitchens now. They come weekly during a job so the site stays workable, and they separate the metal and clean wood themselves. Cheaper than a container on every single-room job I have compared. Invoicing is net-30, which makes my life easier.
