Pricing
Every other junk removal company serving Northern Virginia makes you call to find out what it costs. We think that is a sales tactic rather than a necessity, so here is the entire structure — before you talk to anyone.
Load sizes
Our truck holds about 16 cubic yards. We charge by how much of it your stuff fills — not by the hour, and not per item.

What a load actually looks like
"Half a load" is meaningless until you can see it. Our truck bed is roughly the volume of six pickup truck beds, and the fill lines are where the tiers sit.
How this differs
Most of these are standard practice in this industry. Each one is a way of quoting a low number and collecting a higher one.
The other option
We would rather tell you this than sell you the wrong service. If you are doing a whole-house gut renovation, or a project running over several weeks where debris is generated continuously and unpredictably, rent a container. It will cost less per cubic yard and you can fill it on your own schedule.
For everything else — which is most jobs — hauling wins on both money and hassle. A twenty-yard container in this region runs roughly $450 to $700 for a week before tonnage overages, needs a permit if it sits on a public street in Fairfax, Arlington or most incorporated towns, damages the driveway it sits on, collects the neighbours' contributions overnight, and is visible from the street the entire time. In most HOA communities across Ashburn, Centreville and Gainesville it needs written approval first.
A half load from us is $389 to $499 with disposal included, and it is gone the same afternoon.
Pricing FAQ
Because hiding them is a sales tactic, not a necessity. Every competitor in Northern Virginia makes you call for a number, which lets them price you based on your postcode, your urgency and how you sound on the phone. We price by volume, the volume tiers are fixed, and there is nothing to discover on the phone that changes them. If we cannot justify a price in public, it is the wrong price.
Yes, with one honest caveat we will always raise before loading rather than after. Very heavy material — concrete, brick, dirt, roofing shingles, ceramic tile — is disposed of by weight rather than volume, so it is quoted separately. Same for items needing special disposal, like paint or freon appliances, and anything needing demolition before it can be loaded. All of that gets quoted out loud on site, before a single thing goes in the truck.
No, deliberately. Hourly pricing punishes you for things you cannot control — a long carry from a Burke Centre pathway unit, a narrow 1958 basement staircase in Vienna, a third-floor Arlington walk-up. Those make the job slower for us and should not make it more expensive for you. Volume pricing means the number is set by what you are throwing away, not by how awkward your house is.
We round to whichever tier it genuinely falls into, and if it is borderline we round down. In practice the crew is looking at the truck bed and calling it honestly. If the load comes in smaller than the driveway quote, the price comes down — that happens regularly and it is the whole point of quoting before loading rather than after.
Effectively yes — $95 is the floor, which covers a single item. That is not a hidden minimum dressed up as something else; it is the actual cost of sending a truck and two people to your address, and no hauler in this region can do it for meaningfully less.
No. No stair fee, no long-carry fee, no basement surcharge. Those are all common line items elsewhere and they are all charges for doing the job you are already paying for. Carrying it out is the service.
No rush fee. Urgency is most of why anyone calls a junk hauler in the first place, so charging a premium for it is charging you for needing the service. We hold afternoon capacity for same-day work as a matter of routine.
On completion, once you have seen the space empty — never upfront and never a deposit. We take cards, and cash if you prefer. Commercial accounts can be invoiced net-30. You get a written receipt, and if donation receipts matter for your taxes, tell us before we load and we will get them for you.
Send a photo of the pile. We'll come back with a firm price from the table above — usually within 30 minutes during business hours.
